Audi is releasing a new electric vehicle called the Q6 E-Tron in the second half of 2023. This compact crossover will be available as either a regular crossover or with a sporty coupe-like design, and will most likely come out in the US as a 2024 model.
Images from cars that may be coming soon show Audi is planning to make a fast and powerful Q6 E-Tron model. This car will use the same electrical system as the luxury vehicles made by Volkswagen Group called the PPE platform. It should have enough power to drive 300 miles or more! The Porsche Macan, another car coming in 2024, will also use this technology.
The electric version of the Macan will have a battery pack with 98-kilowatt-hours and an electric motor driving each axle. It is expected to deliver more than 603 horsepower and 740 pound-feet of torque, similar to the RS Q6 E-Tron.
At the end of this year, Audi will start introducing 20 new or updated cars. And out of them, more than half will be electric cars. Moreover, after 2026, Audi plans for all its new car releases to be electric vehicles.
