Special Jailbreak Option for Select Purchasers of 2023 Dodge Demon 170

A unique Jailbreak option that includes one-of-one paint colors was made available to certain buyers of the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170.

As reported in the SRT Hellcat Forum, Dodge selected between 20 to 25 customers for the unique Demon 170 Jailbreak option. They were given the opportunity to select from 40 different paint colors, a blend of both modern and classic shades, for their Demon 170. All participants received samples of the 40 color options, and the first to respond via email secured their chosen color, as per the forum post. Each color will be unique to one car only.

Dodge representative, Darren Jacobs, subsequently confirmed to AutoMotorMart that the one-of-one Jailbreak option was extended to certain customers based on their brand loyalty.

“This unique paint choice was exclusively offered to select customers based on their history of purchasing new Dodge Charger and Challenger models and their affinity to the Dodge brand,” said Jacobs. “This unique paint option will add another dimension of customization and collectability to the record-setting Challenger SRT Demon 170, and was made available on a limited basis to those who have significantly contributed to the recent era of Dodge muscle. This option is no longer being offered.”

Introduced in March, the Demon 170 is the final “Last Call” special edition, marking the end of the current internal-combustion era for the Challenger coupe and its Dodge Charger sedan counterpart. The Demon 170 is equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine, producing 1,025 hp and 945 lb-ft of torque on E85 (output decreases on E10 premium fuel). This allows a claimed 0-60 mph time of 1.66 seconds on a prepared surface without rollout and an NHRA-certified 8.91-second quarter mile at 151.17 mph.

Production will be limited, but the exact number is contingent upon how many vehicles can be manufactured before the official shutdown of Challenger production on December 31. The MSRP stands at $96,666, but with a $1,595 destination charge and $2,100 gas guzzler tax, the effective base price is pushed to $100,361. The final build slot at auction went for $700,000. While Dodge hasn’t revealed how much the Jailbreak paint option will cost the chosen customers, there are rumors that these unique paint jobs are priced at $30,000.
