Individuals seeking a sedan with a power rating in the quadruple digits have the choice of either going electric or leaning on tuning experts such as Hennessey Performance. The latter offers an enhancement package for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, escalating its output to an astounding 1,000 hp.
On Tuesday, Hennessey revealed the H1000 package for the CT5-V Blackwing, which essentially overhauls the high-performance sedan’s supercharged 6.2-liter V-8. The process entails stripping the engine down and rebuilding it with a variety of performance components, including a larger supercharger.

By increasing the power to a dynamometer-confirmed 1,000 hp, from the original 668-hp rating, Hennessey’s upgraded H1000 CT5-V Blackwing promises a 0-60 mph acceleration of around 2.5 seconds, a quarter-mile completion in 10.1 seconds, and a top speed significantly exceeding 200 mph. These metrics show an improvement over the stock numbers of 3.4 seconds for the 0-60 sprint, 11.3 seconds for the quarter-mile, and a top speed just over 200 mph.
In addition to the larger supercharger, the Hennessey engineers fit ported cylinder heads, fresh intake and exhaust valves, lifters, pushrods, long-tube stainless steel headers, and enhanced cooling systems. The Hennessey squad also integrates a bespoke engine management system.

Hennessey’s CEO and founder, John Hennessey, asserted in a statement that, “The four-door Cadillac is the swiftest combustion-only luxury sedan on Earth. It represents a remarkable peak in a segment that is projected to fade away by the close of this decade.”
Beyond power enhancements, Hennessey also offers proprietary wheel designs, custom badges, and a variety of interior enhancements to elevate the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal.
Hennessey has opened the order books and anticipates kickstarting production in August. However, they have yet to disclose the price.
