Volkswagen is making a new version of the Passat that will only be available in the form of a wagon. However, don’t expect to see it here in the U.S., because the version of Passat sold here after 2022 uses cheaper parts than the versions in other countries.

The Volkswagen Passat is a car that comes from around the world. It runs on special technology called ‘MQB’, which will be replaced with an updated version for the redesigned model. This same upgraded MQB platform is also used in the latest Golf and many other VW cars.

The Skoda Superb, which is almost the same as the Passat, will also get a new update soon – but this time it’s going to offer two body styles: sedan and wagon.

The engines available will include a few four-cylinder ones, with some of them being able to plug in and work as hybrids. There will also be a spiffed up version of the Passat Alltrack that looks like an off-road vehicle.

VW won’t be offering the Passat sedan anymore. But, they are bringing something new and exciting to replace it – The ID.7 electric car! It’s built on VW Group’s MEB platform, like the ID.4 and Buzz cars. Plus, you’ll get to see this car in U.S showrooms too! The ID.7 wagon is also coming soon so keep an eye out for that as well!

The new Passat car will be made at Volkswagen’s factory in Slovakia, while a different type of car called the ID.7 will be built in Germany.
