The Yenko/SC Silverado pickup truck is back for the 2023 model year! It’s made by a company called Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), which helps create tuned versions of General Motors vehicles like the Camaro and Tahoe/Suburban. They have two main versions this time around – Yenko SC/Silverado Off-Road and Yenko SC/Silverado Lowered.
You can choose one of two different engines when you get the car. One is a 5.3-liter engine and produces 700 horsepower, while the other is a 6.2-liter engine that gives 800 horsepower. The engines have been updated with things like a new lightweight aluminum block and custom parts on the exhaust system to make it more powerful.
The Yenko SC/Silverado Off-Road has special upgrades to the suspension such as a heavy duty rear sway bar and extra traction bars. They also give you an option for a 4 inch lift kit with Fox performance shocks. You get 20 inch wheels with Nitto off-road tires, and if you want, you can add the optional bed mounted sport bar with cool looking LEDs.
The Yenko SC/Silverado Lowered provides an option for sport suspension that can lower the truck by 2.0 inches in the front and 5.0 inches in the rear, plus Fox performance shocks included. Even if buyers want to keep the factory ride height, they will still obtain a larger-diameter sway bar and heavy-duty traction bars.
When buying a Yenko/SC Silverado Off-Road from SVE, you’ll need to provide your own donor vehicle. It must be either a crew cab or double cab model with LTZ, RST, ZR2, or LT Trail Boss Z71 trim levels and any of the following bed lengths: standard or short. It must also have either four-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive and come with the 10-speed automatic transmission. The SC/Silverado Lowered can be purchased as an LT, LTZ, RST, or High Country option as well with all other requirements as mentioned above.
GM is making a limited number of SC/Silverado Off-Road and SC/Silverado Lowered trucks in two different power specs: 700 horsepower and 800 horsepower.
