Chevrolet is releasing a new and improved version of the Silverado for 2024. It’s going to be electric, but it also has some cool features too. For instance, you can get a diesel engine in the powerful off-roader “ZR2” model and a new black appearance package that’s available on multiple grades. Also, it’ll have something called an “active exhaust system” on its 6.2-liter V8 engine. How awesome!
The ZR2 has two different engines. The first one is a 3.0-liter turbo diesel, which gives your car 305 horsepower and 495 pounds of torque. The other option is the 6.2-liter V8, it produces 420 horsepower and 460 pounds of torque.
For people buying a 6.2-liter V-8 car, Chevy has added an active exhaust system which they have tuned to make the car sound like a sporty V-8 engine. But you can adjust this sound with three different driver modes: Normal, Tow/Haul and Sport.
If you have a truck and would like to make it look stylish, then you should check out the black appearance package that comes with black accents for its exterior. This package is available on 5 different grades of truck models – Custom, Custom Trail Boss, RST, LT Trail Boss, and ZR2 – as well as a special High Country Midnight Edition. The Midnight Edition also has powered side steps in black color and LED lightning installed in it.
Chevy has made a big change to their new 2024 Silverado 1500 by adding TurboMax branding for the 2.7-liter turbo-4 engine. This engine is really powerful with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, and it can even tow up to 9,500 pounds when set up correctly. The same engine will also be used in the smaller Chevy Colorado pickup truck. Another engine available for the 2024 Silverado 1500 is a 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.
In 2024, there will be two new colors offered: Lakeshore Blue and Slate Gray.
