The 2024 Subaru BRZ is not immune to the current inflationary trends, experiencing a significant uptick in its pricing.

The starting price of the base model, known as the BRZ Premium, is now set at $31,315. This includes a destination fee of $1,120 and represents a $1,700 increase over the 2023 model year, which itself was priced $660 higher than its 2022 predecessor, the year the BRZ underwent a redesign.

To rationalize the increased cost, Subaru has incorporated its EyeSight suite of electronic driver assistance technologies as a standard offering. This includes convenient utilities such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure alerts.

In addition, the Premium grade comes equipped with several other standard features, including a Torsen limited-slip differential, LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, and a stability control system featuring a track mode. The digital instrument cluster also includes a customizable meter capable of displaying variables such as amperage, coolant temperature, or lateral gravitational forces. Activating the track mode alters the tachometer display from a traditional circular layout to a linear graph.

2024 Subaru BRZ tS

A notable introduction for the 2024 lineup is the BRZ tS grade, scheduled for dealership availability in the early part of next year. Revealed in July, the tS model—standing for “tuned by STI”—comes with modest performance enhancements like a revised suspension featuring Hitachi dampers, Brembo braking systems, 18-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, along with certain exterior embellishments. The BRZ tS serves as the pinnacle of the model range and carries a starting price of $36,465, destination fee included.

The BRZ Limited Edition

Occupying the middle tier of the range is the BRZ Limited, available at a starting price of $33,815. This variant adds an array of luxurious features to the base model, which include Ultrasuede upholstery complemented by red leather highlights, an upgraded audio system, heated external mirrors, and supplementary driver-assistance capabilities. Unlike the Premium and tS grades, which are available only with 6-speed manual transmissions, the Limited offers the option of a 6-speed automatic transmission for an extra $950.

Engine and Performance

Every 2024 BRZ model is powered by a 2.4-liter flat-4 engine, delivering 228 horsepower. The acceleration time from 0 to 60 mph is measured at six seconds for the manual transmission and seven seconds for the automatic version.
