Mercedes-Benz is making changes to its big GLS SUV. We saw one of their new models that was specially made by the AMG team, and it’s called the AMG GLS 63. There are also versions being prepared for both the regular GLS, and a super-fancy Maybach edition of the GLS.
The GLS-Class was released in 2020, and the AMG GLS 63 version followed later. Mercedes usually updates their cars every few years, so this one will probably get a refresh for 2024.
The GLS 63 has only light camouflage on it, so there won’t be many changes to its outward look. At the front, you’ll spot new lights and a different fascia than before.
We couldn’t take a picture from inside the car, but our photographer told us it will have new designs for its infotainment screen and steering wheel. The graphics will be upgraded and the vehicle should also provide features that can help drivers while off-roading or trailering, just like the ones used on Mercedes’ 2024 GLE-Class.
There won’t be any changes to the power of this car. The GLS 63 has a big engine that comes with two tiny turbo boosters and a mild-hybrid system. That gives it 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque.
So, Mercedes wants to make awesome versions of their cars, including the GLS model. You can customize it however you like, or maybe even get limited edition models!
