When I was a child, my father always had a Duesenberg Model J parked in the garage. It wasn’t until 1967, when I was just a teenager, that I even realized it was there. Now, almost 56 years later, the car has been unearthed and is being restored by the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Company.
For 56 years, the 1931 Duesenberg Model J was hidden away in a garage, until it was discovered and brought to light. The car is now on display at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. The Model J is one of the most iconic and luxurious cars of its era, and its discovery is a rare find.
