General Motors is really excited about the fun new electric cars and the technology that makes them run, but they know that the traditional cars are still important. Cadillac just announced a redesign for their XT4 SUV – its smallest car with wheels! The outside looks different and it’s filled with lots of cool tech gadgets.
The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the previous versions of this model is still here, and it can provide up to 235 horsepower and 258 foot pounds of torque when you use high quality fuel. It sends the power to either just the front wheels or all four wheels using a nine-speed automatic gearbox, and it includes extra features like automatic starting stop and cylinder deactivation that help reduce how much gas you need to use.
The Cadillac XT4 has a new look with changes to its front features like headlights, running lights and grille pattern. The Premium Luxury one gets a glossy black grille while the Sport trim has darker accents. 18- and 20-inch wheel options are also available in three fresh paint colors – Emerald Lake Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic, and Deep Sea Metallic.
Cadillac has added a really cool 33-inch touchscreen to their Escalate and Lyriq EV cars. This new display is your car’s main control centre and helps you with all the entertainment, like playing music from Google services or Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. You can also upgrade the sound system to get 13 speakers from AKG Studio.
Cadillac cars are equipped with lots of special safety features. These include blind spot monitoring to help you see what’s going on behind you, front braking that activate when it senses a pedestrian or cyclist nearby, automatic high beams, lane keep assistant which helps to stay between the lines, and even a seatbelt reminder system. You also have an option to get an Active Safety Package which will provide additional features like cruise control on long journeys, warnings if there is an emergency while at an intersection, fingerprint identification technology with added reverse brakes and more.
The new Cadillac XT4 will be available to buy this summer. We don’t know the exact price yet, but it probably won’t cost much more than the 2023 model which had a starting price of $37,490.
