Smart was no longer available in the United States before, but now it’s back and better than ever! The #1 electric subcompact crossover has already launched and their planning to launch a second model: the #3. This new car looks like a coupe and will be officially revealed at the 2023 Shanghai auto show on April 18!

The #3 electric car was built in China by Mercedes-Benz and Zhejiang Geely’s company called Smart Automobile. It hasn’t been revealed yet what is underneath the hood of this vehicle, but it likely gets its power from a Geely’s special electric platform that supports fast charging and remote updates.

The #1 vehicle has one engine at the back, producing 268 horsepower. There is also a super-powered Brabus model that uses two engines and can reach 422 horsepower. It runs on a battery that stores 66 kilowatt-hours of power and can be charged really fast to get up to 270 miles in distance through special tests like the WLTP test cycle. The EPA test cycle might give you a lower amount though. The #3 car will likely have similar stats.

The #3 vehicle from Smart will go on sale in areas where the company works later this year. We’ll know more about the price when it is closer to being released.
