Mercedes-Benz’s GLC-Class SUV is getting a new makeover for 2023. It will cost around $48,250 and you can find it at dealerships in the spring. This compact SUV has had over 50,000 sales each year for the past five years! People really like it because of its nice design, cool tech inside, and lots of great stuff that comes with it as standard.
The GLC-Class car will come in two forms, the rear-wheel-drive GLC 300 and the all-wheel-drive GLC 300 4Matic. The good news is that the former one is cheaper at its outset. You get a bunch of top notch equipment when you purchase either model: A digital instrument cluster measuring 12.3 inches, an infotainment screen which stands 11.9 inches wide, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, convenient wireless phone charging spots, comfortable heated 16-way front seats with memory options, an automatic dimming rearview mirror and other luxurious features such as ambient lighting.
You can upgrade your car with the Exclusive trim for an extra $2,250. It includes a fancy audio system, a camera system you can use to view all around your vehicle, and navigation so you know where you’re going. If you pay $4,350 more than the basic price, you’ll get everything in the standard and Exclusive trim levels plus special features like a heads-up display, digital headlights, and heat-proof and soundproof windows.
The car has a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine that produces 258 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It also includes something called mild-hybrid technology, which is made up of a motor-generator connected to the 9-speed automatic transmission. This helps it recover energy when you slow down, giving it an extra boost of 23 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. Because of all this power, the car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 130 mph.
Mercedes is planning to make more powerful cars from their AMG workshop. And they’ll also produce a new version of the GLC-Class Coupe, but we’re not sure when it will be released yet. Probably sometime in 2024 though.
