Porsche is creating an electric Macan car. This means they have been designing this vehicle for a while and it will be released in early 2024. We can see the design of the new Macan from the prototypes that are being spotted.

The all-electric Porsche Macan is arriving a year later than expected and much later than the all-electric Audi model called the Q6 E-Tron, which should be out by the end of this year. Porsche and Audi have worked together to create a new ‘platform’ called PPE (Premium Platform Electric) that will be used for many other vehicles from Volkswagen Group.

The electric Macan has a design similar to a clay model that was showcased in the “Porsche Unseen” book. This design includes rectangular headlights which are similar to the ones seen on the Taycan and also include an extra lighting feature at the bottom of its front facade.

Our photographer explained that when you drive the car faster than 30 mph, a spoiler pops out from the back. But don’t get tricked by the exhaust – they are only pretend and were used to disguise the car while testing it out. The Porsche Taycan also had these fake pieces added on.

Porsche is using both real life and simulated tests to quickly enhance the electric Macan, especially with regards to the aerodynamics, energy production, user controls, and sound. The goal is to make it the most exciting car in its class. This will be made possible by incorporating a great all-wheel-drive system.

The electric Macan will be able to charge quickly due to its 800-volt electric architecture. With a 350-kw charge point, 60 miles of charge can be filled in only four minutes! And with 450-kw charging, you’ll have enough power for 60 miles in just three minutes. Unfortunately, 450-kw charging isn’t available in the United States yet.

The electric Macan will have a big battery pack and two electric motors. They can generate up to 603 horsepower and 740 pound-feet of torque. That’s really powerful!

Porsche is planning to make an electric version of their Macan vehicle in Germany. They are also continuing to sell the gas-powered Macan but eventually only the electric one will be available. In order to do this, they must build enough charging infrastructure for electric cars. So for now, you can choose between both versions!

Porsche plans on switching to electric cars in the future. By 2030, they estimate that 80% of their cars will be electric and the remaining 20% will only include 911s which won’t have any electric engine. After the Macan, Porsche will introduce 718 and Cayenne models with electric engines, followed by a new big SUV.
