Vigilante 4×4 makes super powerful Jeeps from 1964 to 1991. The company, located in Johnson City, Texas, specializes in building these types of vehicles. As an example of what they can do, their latest model includes engines that are capable of reaching up to 1000 horsepower!
This is an old 1966 model Jeep Gladiator truck that can be customized with modern V-8 engines. It comes with a 485 horsepower 6.4-liter engine, and you can also opt for the 707 horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged “Hellcat” engine or even a 1,000 horsepower option! You can choose between manual or automatic transmissions with each powertrain.
Original Jeep chassis was not made to withstand strong engine outputs, so Vigilante 4×4 went ahead and created their own model by scanning original bodies for perfect mounting. To accommodate modern powertrain addition, Vigilante 4×4 also installed suspension and brakes upgrades.
When they worked on the 1966 Gladiator, they added four-link suspension that comes with Eibach coil springs, Fox dampers and Baer six-piston brakes in 17-inch wheels.
Vigilante 4×4 offers a full restoration process. The body of the car will be sandblasted and coated, before being rebuilt using either original parts or special new parts made to look like them. This particular restomod has a blue exterior with a cream interior – it also features leather and Alcantara within the cabin.
The company also restore Wagoneers and Cherokees, while they offer restomods for Gladiators at an initial price of 295,000 dollars.
