Audi’s A3 sedan has been available for sale in the US for almost two years now. However, a newer and updated version has already been out to test earlier this year – it was only released outside the United States at the start of 2020. The new model is expected to have its full update by 2024 and be released here as a 2025 model.
Recently, we took some pictures of the new kinds of cars. These cars look alike but they’re slightly different. The front part of the car has been changed around the sides, while at the back there are changes in the tail lights and also a bit more stuff on either side.
The newest Audi A3 is based on a freshly updated version of Volkswagen’s MQB platform, which makes it very similar to the upcoming new Volkswagen Golf. We already have pictures of how the refreshed Volkswagen Golf will look.
The engine in the A3 may have changes, but it is unknown for sure. In the America, it has a 2.0-liter turbocharged motor combined with a mild hybrid system and a 7-speed automatic gearbox. This powerful setup can give out 201 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of force. You always get front wheel drive as standard and all wheel drive as an option.
If you want a car with more power, the S3 and RS 3 models might be what you’re looking for! The S3 has a powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine that produces 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque and the RS 3 comes with an even more impressive 2.5-liter turbo which has 401 horsepower and 369 pound feet of torque. Whichever model you choose, all wheel drive is included!
Audi might be introducing a bigger version of the A3 car, similar to the A1 Citycarver that is already available in other countries. However, Audi hasn’t officially said anything about this new car yet.
