2025 Volvo EX30 Cross Country

Volvo is set to roll out its new subcompact electric crossover, the EX30, in showrooms by next summer. The 2025 model will be eventually followed by a more robust variant, outfitted with Volvo’s Cross Country label.

The EX30 Cross Country was showcased on Wednesday, paired with the standard EX30. It’s expected to be a more favored choice among U.S. buyers, much like other Cross Country models.

Overview of Volvo XC60

Upgrades to the EX30 Cross Country include increased ground clearance, skid plates on the front, rear, and sides, additional protective plastic cladding, and distinctive 19-inch black wheels. Volvo will also offer an optional set of 18-inch wheels with custom tires.

It is anticipated that the EX30 Cross Country will share powertrains with the standard EX30, although it’s likely that only the dual-motor all-wheel-drive option will be available, excluding the EX30’s usual rear-wheel-drive configuration.

2025 Volvo EX30 Cross Country Information

Although Volvo hasn’t divulged all details, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain in the EX30 is known to deliver a potent 422 hp, enabling 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.4 seconds. The lone 69-kwh battery offers a maximum range of 265 miles with the dual-motor setup.

Reservations for the standard EX30 are currently being accepted by Volvo. The reservation process for the EX30 Cross Country will commence in 2024, with production also set to start that year. Production will be carried out at a Chinese factory, serving both domestic and export markets.

The EX30 is priced starting at $36,145, inclusive of destination fees. Pricing for the EX30 Cross Country, however, has not yet been announced by Volvo.
