This test model showcases some notable adjustments including a new grille, a restructured front fascia, and an altered light design for the taillights.

The updated grille features a pattern of interconnected rectangles, a design that aligns with the recently revamped 2022 Range Rover and the 2023 Range Rover Sport. This is a strategic move to enhance the link with the Range Rover line, given that Range Rover is now a distinct brand within JLR (previously known as Jaguar Land Rover).
Changes to the upgraded Evoque are not confined to the exterior, and will likely also involve enhancements to the interior. Expectations are of a remodeled infotainment system and potentially the introduction of new trim materials.

The current Evoque offers a singular powertrain: a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine that produces 246 horsepower in its base form, or 296 horsepower with a mild-hybrid system. Accompanying this is a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. Whether this update will bring changes to this setup remains uncertain.
The present Evoque, representing the second generation of the model, was launched in 2019 as a 2020 variant. This suggests that the impending update is likely a mid-cycle enhancement for this compact crossover. Expect its debut next year as the 2025 Evoque.
Alongside the Evoque, its counterpart, the Discovery Sport, is anticipated to receive an update around the same time.
In the longer term, both the Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport are slated for a redesign around a new all-electric platform known as EMA. The first vehicle to adopt the EMA platform, arriving in 2025, is anticipated to be a revamped Range Rover Velar.
